Collective Friday

Openthreadfriday

This is the FFPCollective front porch. A place to bring the real week with you.

Welcome to Collective Friday.

This is the place to show up as yourself and talk like a real person. No polishing needed. No pressure to sound insightful. Just bring the week you actually had.

Maybe you had a win. Maybe you found a shirt, a jacket, or a pair of shoes that finally felt right. Maybe you cooked something worth making again. Maybe you had a hard week, and you’re still carrying it. Maybe you’re trying to get your health back on track. The last seven days have been an adventure for me, and the journey is not over. I have no clue what is on the horizon for me. Plus, I miss my wife. Her is out of town right now, and I don’t like being at home by myself. It’s no fun cooking for one.

I acknowledge that I am spoiled and don’t care what others think. Everything above and more is welcome here.

One thing I know about us older folks is that we know how to carry a lot without saying much. We know how to keep the train moving. But this can be a place where you don’t have to do that every minute. You can speak up. You can ask a question. You can admit something is hard. You can share something good. You can be in the process.

For me my rough patch is launching a blog again after being gone from the digital media publishing world. Even the term digital media publishing is something new to me. I thought of mysel;f as a blogger who when creating content people would come flocking to what I have built. So far that has not been the case, but I am not discourgared, because I plan to work this project for years to com. Eventually, people will come out, I have to be patient and keep up the work which is more important than building something that means nothing to me but cashes in on internet trends.

Share a win, a rough patch, an outfit find, a recipe, a question, or one thing you’re learning right now.
